An Oakmeal cookieby the makers of Oakmeal ... genius.  This are really good and soft.  Lots of fiber .. dieters know why this is a good thing.

I usually have a granola bar or two for breakfast.  I think I just found my new go to snack.  Can't wait to try the Chocolate Almond.

Singlepackaged to keep you from eating the whole box... can we say portion control???

Love them.   Going out to buy more tomorrow!!!

Ivory Soap

Been MIA for a couple of months but I'M BACK!  Work, kids and life were high priority lately.

First blog of many ...  Ivory Soap.

Free of dyes and heavy perfumes, Ivory provides a simple, yet effective clean for the entire family (without breaking the bank!).

Ivory bar soap is 99.44% pure (it floats!). Beyond using it as a body cleanser, many of Ivory's loyal users – not to mention a few celebrities – swear by Ivory as their beauty secret. In fact, many consumers use Ivory bar soap as a facial cleanser. It provides healthier, smoother and more even-looking skin. Also, its versatility makes it an effective laundry soap (just chip soap flakes into the washer) as well as a spot stain remover on your clothes (including delicate items). Ivory bars can even be used for a fun soap carving project with the family!

When it comes to motherhood, Ivory (the clean & simple soap) knows that being a mom has become more complex than ever, and that moms are looking for ways to simplify their lives. According to a survey of 1,000+ moms conducted by Wakefield Research on Ivory’s behalf in October 2011, 80% of American moms think motherhood is more complicated today than it was 20 years ago, despite the thousands of items supposedly designed to “simplify” their lives. But, while they may be more stressed out and busier than ever, almost 90% of moms think they’re doing a better job balancing it all than their mothers did.

And what do I think?

Well I am more a shower gel gal.  Like to shower with a poof and gel but use bar soap on my face.  just feels cleaner.  Liked Ivory cuz it did not dry my face out (causing more wrinkles) and did not stink (like hubby's Irish Spring)

Very gentle.

Also need to try this trick with the kids ... think it will mess up the microwave or clean it out???

you unwrap a bar of Ivory™ soap and microwave it, the soap will expand into a foam that is more than six times the size of the original bar. It's a fun trick that won't hurt either your microwave or the soap. The soap trick can be used to demonstrate closed-cell foam formation, physical change, and Charles' Law.

Yes I'm a geeky and fun mom.

  • Nuke your soap. Watch the soap closely to see what happens.
  • Depending on microwave power, your soap will reach its maximum volume within 90 second to 2 minutes. If you microwave the soap longer (I went up to 6 minutes) nothing bad will happen, but the soap won't continue to grow.
  • Allow the soap to cool for a minute or two before touching it.
  • The soap will feel brittle and flaky, but it's still soap, with the same cleaning power as before. Go ahead and get it wet and you'll see it lathers the same as ever.
  • Cut or break off a piece of Ivory™ and examine it. Do you see pockets of air? The air that causes Ivory™ to be less dense than water has been whipped into the soap, so you won't see bubbles or pockets of air. This is important, because it's the reason why the soap trick works.

  • For under $5 you get 10 bars of gentle, pure soap that has been aroundfor 100 years and you can use it to have a fun way of teaching your kids science.  Whats not to like.  Fun stuff that kids use to clean up with .. not get them dirty!
