I have been trying these products and here is my take on them.

Sensitive Facial Cleanser

This product feels really weird.  There is no soap toleave your face dried out.  This I really like because I hate my face feeliong tight and dried out at night.  But it feels like a moistureizer going on so it really does not feel clean.

These product have no scent which is both good and bad. I like some fragrance sometimes.

Even though it feels weird I do like this product.  But I do not think I will Change from my Este Lauder cleanser.

Sensitive Daily Moisturizer

Now this product I really liked.  Since I am getting older Ihave found that moisturizer is something that I need for my skin.  However, it ishard to find one that will not make my face break out.  This one doesa good job of not being oily and not clogging pores.

Would I recommend the cleanser?

Yes,The cleasure felt weird but it does a good job.

Would I buy it?

Probably not, can't get over the feel of it.

Would I recommend the moisterizer?

Yes, This did a good job without making my face feel greasy.

****I received these products as a part of a campaign for BzzAgent.  However, all opinions expressedin my blog are my own.****

Party Potatoes

Another recipe ... These recipes are for the Fall Virtual Crockpot Party hosted by A Busy Moms Slow Cooker Adventures and  Crockpot Recipe Exchange .

Picture from Pillsbury.  Mine do not have the green onions, and look more soupy.

2 cans (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of Chicken soup
1 container (16 oz ) sour cream
2 can (4.5 oz)  chopped green chiles
1 bag Colby-Monterey Jack cheese blend (6 oz)
2 bags (32 oz) frozen southern-style diced hash brown potatoes
finely crushed nacho-flavored taco chips
DIRECTIONS

1.  Place a crockpot liner in the the crockpot. In medium bowl, mix soup, sour cream, chiles and most of the cheese, reserve some to sprinkle on top. Arrange half of potatoes in slow cooker. Top with half of sour cream mixture, spreading evenly. Top with remaining potatoes and sour cream mixture; spread evenly.
2.   Cover; cook on High setting 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours.
3.   Just before serving, sprinkle top with cheese and chips.

Another recipe I adapted to my tastes ( and for my picky hubby).  This is my old standby for potlucks.
Remember that crockpot liners are your friend.  This crusts over and is a soak over night type of clean up.  The liners is your best defense.  Just throw away when done.

This recipe I take to pot lucks at work and it has my 6 quart filled to the top.  It comes home empty.

That is the best review you can get if it is all eaten.

***This recipes is adapted from Pillsbury.  I doubled it, changed from mushroom to chicken soup changed amount of cheese and omitted the onions.  (Hubby hates mushrooms and onions.)  Enjoy ****

I'm back...

I took a little break.  Was trying out no computer at night.  Hubby was saying the computer was getting more action then him so I need to scale back some.  But I will keep up my blog.

I got some great products last week.  Burt Bees Cleasure and Moisturizer.  Feddaki Shampoo and Conditioner.  A great Freebie from Target and Root Candles.  I have also signed up for Expo a video review site.

So today we are reviewing a Crockpot recipe.  One that I found in a cookbook and made my own.

Venison Swiss Steak

Adapted from IN GOOD TIME, a Wieght Watchers book.

2 - 3 lbs venison steak
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp pepper
2 TBS EVOO
2 shakes dried chopped onion
2 14.5-oz can diced tomatoes with jalepenos or green peppers, undrained
2 1-oz envelope onion soup mix
2 tsp chopped garlic
1 1/2 C dry red wine
sprinkle of misc spices I have on hand.  Basil, season salt, rosemary,
1 TBS cornstarch
2 TBS water

egg noodles cooked
1. Trim fat from venison. . Cut into 1 inch cubes; sprinkle paprika and pepper evenly over both sides of steaks.

2. Heat 1 tsp oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add steaks; cook until browned on both sides. Place browned steaks in slow cooker. Add onion, tomatoes, soup mix, wine, and spices to slow cooker. Cover and cook on high 1 hour. Reduce to low setting and cook 6-8 hours or until steaks are tender.

Serve over egg noodles

This is a great way to serve venison.  I am on the fence on the taste of venison by itself.  I really don't like steaks just fried and served that way but if it is simmered with something - like chilli and this - it is really good.

This is my Hubby's favorite recipe.  The meat just falls apart and it melts in your mouth and the sauce is great - anything with winne is good to me!

So for those of you Hunters wives or Hunters out there try this great recipe.

FYI this recipe can be made with beef roast also.

These recipes are for the Fall Virtual Crockpot Party hosted by A Busy Moms Slow Cooker Adventures and Crockpot Recipe Exchange .

This recipe gets a big Thumbs Up from me and Hubby

*** This recipe was adapted from a cookbook.  I doubled the sauce, changed the tomatoes, herbs and preperation so I call it my own.  ****

Garland Lodge and Resort

This past week my Hubby and I traveled to Lewiston and had the pleasure of staying and playing at Garland Lodge and Resort.
My Hubby purchased a golf package from GroupGolfer.
GroupGolfer is simular to Groupon. Groupon you purchase discounded gift certificates for fod, products or services.
GroupGolfer provides deals on golf related goods and services.
Anyway, Hubby bought a package that included 36 holes with cart and balls for the driving range and one night stay at the lodge. The price was $130. Thought it was a pretty good deal.
When we got there we where met at our car by a young man that took our clubs to our cart. After checking in for our tee times we were directed to the driving range.
What a beautiful course!!! The fall colors were almost peak and the views on the course were breath taking.
The course we played was The Monarch.
We played the first day with a lovely couple, Caroline and Ray. Loved their company. On the 14th tee I was gettting tired and thought I deserved a perk. I call the frount desk and scheduled a hot stone massage for that night.
I shot kinda stinky on the front then stopped counting on the back. But enjoyed the view, company and weather. Who would have thought that it would be 80 degrees in October?
After golfing we went to check into our room. The grand entrance was awsome, all the wood!
We were thinking that for the price we paid that it would be a regular no frills, blah blah hotel room. Boy were we wrong. We were directed to the North Wing where we were given a one bedroom suite on the third floor.
It had valted cielings, four poster king size bed, fire place, sitting area and a jacuzzi tub.
It was really, really nice!! Check it out...
After a nice soak in the tub I was on to my Hot Stone Massage. I would recommend this to everyone. Once you get one you will want one every month. The masseuse, Larry, at times felt like he had thee hands. I was in heaven for 90 minutes.
Special shout out to Shuri (hope I got it right) at the front desk for all your help booking the massage.
Hubby and I then went on to the Lewiston Lodge for Dinner. Yum.
The next day (after another soak in the tub) we were off to our second 18, again on the Monarch. We played this round with a couple of guys, Matt and Mark. Had a great time with them. Got a couple of pointers and shot 60 on front and 52 on the back, Mr. Golfer shot 38 and 42.
We could not have picked a better time to take this mini vacation! Thank you Garland for such a special stay!
.
Now my final thoughts...
Would I go back?
Yes, Yes, Yes. Hoping for more GroupGolfer specials because my pockets are not big enoughfor the regular rate.

Would I suggest to others?

You bet. This place made me feel special. Great Course and especially recommending the Hot Stone Massage. ;)

Any Negatives?

One little one. I would have liked to play a second course.

They have four courses here. Monarch, which we palyed both days. Reflections, Fountains and finally Swampfire. We were told to steer clear of Swampfire by some friends or I would lose much more than the 10 balls I lost durning these two days.

I was told there was some kind of mix up about the leasing of the carts, therefore, only one course was open. booo!

I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this couse and the lodge.
